Merry Christmas!

Welcome Winter!

Getting Ready For Christmas!!!
We had a great time driving out to a beautiful tree farm this year to cut a Christmas tree! Levi loved getting "lost" in all of the trees. He'd run around until he couldn't see us and then shout: "Mommy? Daddy?" and give a huge smile as soon as he could see us again.
God gave us a special few hours to do this fun family activity together a few Saturdays ago. Levi & I had been soooo sick with the flu for a couple days... finally feeling better, we were able to go! As soon as the tree was up in our house, and the lights were strung - Joel started to feel dizzy... and he came down with the awful flu!!!

Levi's newest love is cooking.... and washing dishes... and looking out the kitchen window... and anything else that requires a chair to stand on in the kitchen. If I'm doing anything in the kitchen, he runs to the table and says "chair, chair, chair..." (though when he says it, there's no "r" in the word) ha ha ha! He wants to stand up high and help!

Here he is helping me make pancakes for breakfast the other morning. YUMMMMM!

Fun in Daddy's shoes!!!

We had a little snow storm on Saturday night - over 100 churches were closed on Sunday morning (but that didn't mean the hospital closed... Joel had to be there by 7am on Sunday morning for an all day, all night shift). We had a fun family day on Monday, though! We played out in the snow, shoveling the driveway & sledding around the yard. Levi can't get enough of the snow! He eats it, he falls in it, he loves to sled down the hills & doesn't even cry when he falls out of the sled & comes up with a snow covered face! He just says "more?"

Back inside, rosey cheeks & static hair! Time for warming up with hot cocoa & dry socks! Grandma & Grandpa visited Monday night to take us out to dinner for my birthday. Levi stayed up late & was sooo good! He danced all around the living room for an hour, pulling a ribbon for the cat to play with, showing off his books and toys & running aimlessly from one end of the house to the other. When it was finally time for bed, he asked for his bear & laid down without a peep. What an angel! We are so blessed!
