A big sister? Two?

Our family has grown!
We now wake up to little feet padding up the stairs and a tiny voice calling, "Goo Moring - Goo Moring - Goo Moring - Kitty - Hola Kitty!"

Heydi & her 2 year old daughter, Sheylin, are living with us for a while. Heydi is from Guatamala & has an incredible story! I'm not sure I've met a stronger woman. She has a heart of gold. Heydi is so helpful around the house & we are becoming quick friends. Levi & Sheylin play together during the day while Heydi is at school. I am working on learning a little Spanish - but I have to admit that Sheylin is doing much better at learning English!

There have been a lot of laughs as we try to communicate - the other morning, Sheylin was asking me for something. But she was saying "cuchara, cuchara, cuchara." I told her "I'm sorry, honey, but I don't know what you want." So she tried to say it more clearly: "Cuuu-chaaa-rrraa" :) ha ha ha I laughed so hard, finally figuring out that she wanted a spoon to eat her cereal with.

Joel has taken on the role of "Papi" as Sheylin calls him. He has the priviledge of being the only father figure this little one has ever known - and he does it so amazingly well. He has definitely stolen her heart - she lights up as soon as she hears him come home from work - "Papi? Papi! Papi!" and runs to the stairs to greet him.

Levi tries hard to keep up with his new, big sister! He adores both Heydi & Sheylin.
